Someone may have an oustanding debt with you, but wants to work together with you to help pay it off. They will agree to do that in the form of regular payments, be it weekly, monthly or even yearly.

You need an agreement for that – a Debt Installment Agreement. This document will outline everything in regard to the debt, and the payment plan that is set up for how the person pays the debt.

Our form above will help you create the customized debt installment agreement that you require.

The first thing you need to do is enter in the details of the Creditor. That is the person, or persons, who are owed the money. You enter their name and address. Our form allows you to enter in two creditors, in case there are more than one.

Next, you must put in the debtor details. The debtor, is the person or persons who have borrowed the funds. Again, you have the option of doing two just in case there are multiple debtors.

Next on the list? We put in all the details in regard to the actual debt, and the payments that are going to be made.

First you will note whether or not there is a promissory note that is being attached to this document. Next, you will list the current debt amount as of the agreement being written up. Then we have to put in the details about the loan payments.

First, you will select the amount of the loan payment. Put it in, and then choose how often the payments are going to be made. Whether it is monthly, annually or if the payments will be made every week.

You will next choose an actual start date for when the payments will begin.

Then you can also add anything else you wish to the agreement, under “Anything else you wish to add”. You can put in any data that our form does not already have.

If you want to see a debt installment agreement blank template, simply click “Create My Agreement”. There you can see a preview that will show everything that is contained in the agreement. It’s essentially a blank template.

Each section is separated by bullet point, and we aim to make our forms not just simple in regard to filling them in and creating them, but also reading them. We want them to be as simple and basic as possible so there is no confusion over what certain parts mean – and we stick to that here as it is very simple.

Once you are done, you can click through to download the form. It will be available to download in RTF, PDF and HTML Formats. You can open the RTF format file in ANY word processing software – Microsoft Word, OpenOffice etc.
